there are many, many important things to know about networks. They actually take on a life of their own. Geez, with Servers, Routers, Switches, Hubs, Cabling, PC's, Nics, Apps., and tons more, keeping consistent is always the main theme. If nothing else, I have learned time and time again that the truly happy MIS people are the ones that have utter consistency throughout their network design. These are the people that get to go home and spend time with their family. Unlike the Network Admin. who has a mixture of equipment. Seems they are always paying us $145/hr. to help them out with their nagging little issues.
