The Islamists and Wahhabis don't bother to hide their intentions -- not sure about other versions of Islam, but dhimmitude long predates Wahhab.

As far as I'm concerned, both sides would be happy to "eliminate" all presence of the other, were they given free reign...

But I imagine Dhimmitude, to the average muslim believer, is about as pertinent to their daily spiritual lives as polygamy is to those of the LDS faith.. Namely they don't disavow it, but neither do they wile away their waking hours contemplating one implementing it.

The only folks who would find it pertinent are those religious leaders who have insatiable appetites for power and coercive evangelism.

Kinda like those fanatical Christians who advocate launching another crusade to spread the gospel by the sword.
