Anyone see the Network Computing 10th Anniversary edition? Novell's name and some of its products showed up several times in the viewers poll as well as look back on top 10 thing over the last 10 years....

Some of the Novell showups in the edition....

Q: "What was the biggest nonissue of the pat 10 years?"
A: "The demise of Novell" #3 in the write-ins

Q: "Which company was the biggest underachiever?"
A: "Novell" in the write-ins

Q: "Which company was the biggest loser?"
A: "Novell" 34% and #2 overall

Q: "Which company flourished most under adversity?"
A: "Novell" #2 in the write-ins

Of the Top10 list of "Most important products of the past 10 years", Novell's NetWare 3.x came in Number 2 after Mosaic. In fact the two page overview of its importance had a very valid point. NetWare 3.x's was such a good product that it actually became a factor to Novell's current failings, because Novell's customers simply were satisfied for sooooo long with the functions and reliability of NetWare 3.x that migrations to NetWare 4 and 5 was like pulling teeth.

Some interesting perspectives and opinions.
