Bank of Canada upbeat on economy, dollar TORONTO, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Prospects are good for the Canadian economy and that should help the Canadian dollar, a deputy governor of the Bank of Canada said on Wednesday. Sheryl Kennedy also said there were signs the U.S. economy was bottoming out from its latest downturn. Kennedy was answering questions after delivering a speech in Toronto in which she forecast a modest recovery in the second half of this year, adding that growth should pick up to above 3 percent by the second half of next year.
