Perhaps the approach will be to keep the guilt in doubt enough to minimize the term if found guilty, which is looking increasngly likely. Libby could cool his heels for a fews years and then be rewarded for his silence. That might be better for him than rolling over on Dick and then facing lifelong blackballing.
