SOES

Really? Seems to make the entire setup totally worthless. (What's the sense in showing size at all then? Not that it means much now.) I thought they just reduced SOES to 500 from 1000 shares a few years ago.

I'm not sure you have that exactly right. It's been a few years since I used a Level II or III. But my guess is that, if it is only 100 shares, it is only 100 shares using SOES.

That is to say, a phone order for example for 1000 when a MM is declaring 1000 should be filled. You never know with these bastards however. I remember more than once hitting a MM to take an offer and he would say "too late" and then the box would change.

I never cared for SOES trading but these guys are crying a bit too loud. 100 shares is ridiculous. Why don't they just go back to trading OTC in a back room somewhere and chuck the computer systems.
