2Mar$, You know that I have no interest in learning from these living teachers & masters you're talking about (unless they're Christians ;) "and something must/should be done for a country that is suffering from an increasing 40% physical obesity , wouldn't you say scott?" Absolutely, people are putting an undue indulgence in a thing (food & drink) that is in itself neither good nor bad...Gluttony. I think that people can get so wrapped up with the pleasures of the table that they live merely to eat and drink. You say, "And I have seen many 'Christians' as well turn to Buddhism and Hinduism and are doing quite well"...I say that those people didn't really turn from Christianity because they were not true Christians in the first place. (I used to tell people, if they put me on the spot, that I was a "Christian" before I really was. I even went church...on holidays :) Oh well, you know and I know that this conversation could go in circles for a while. All I can do is promise you that a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is very real and pray for God to show you. Take care, Scott
