I think someone like Condelesa Rice might fit your standards. We'll see if she one day enters the political fray. Condi? eh .. nah. I like a little "street fighter" in the mix. Didn't really see that kind of fire in her. I think academic life suits her just fine. Scott Brown just came out of nowhere. He has (state) political experience, served 30 years in the MA Army National Guard, and is part of a successful law firm. He's had a whirlwind few months - fought a fight that no one believed he could win, and through it all he kept his head and ran a pretty near flawless campaign - with everyone and their brother trying to trip him up as he neared the finish line. And that's just it. I think there are more Scotts (and Sallys and Sues) out there - just like him .. perhaps even better ones. I hope that his fight, and ultimate win, will inspire them to throw their hats in the ring.
