Often a company's stock performance has less to do with anything a company does than we like to believe. CUBE and FEET are two small high growth companies that came public at about the same time. Although both are from completely different industries (FEET is a shoe store), their stock performances have correlated very closely. Both had huge run ups in their early years, followed by a long painful drop as the business matured and growth slowed.

The good news is that if the correlation continues, CUBE will soon see a dramatic price increase. FEET is the same company today that everyone hated at the beginning of this year. They haven't dramatically improved earnings, or suddenly courted analysts, or hired a PR firm to get the word out. Their stock is just 120% higher since Jan 1, for no good reason other than the timing was right. CUBE's time will come, but it will likely not be sparked by anything specific from CUBE.
