A PIRATED VCD pedlar thought it was safe to replenish his stock 30 minutes after more than 500 software items were seized by police during a raid at the Taipan business centre in Subang Jaya last Friday.

Little did he know that another operation was being carried out by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council in the same area at the same time.

As a result, another 500 pirated VCDs were seized.

The first operation was conducted by a team from the Shah Alam police station who surprised the trader who was peddling along the five-foot way.

Thinking it was safe to bring in new stock, the man resumed business 30 minutes later, only to be stopped by the enforcement officers.

Four others escaped the police dragnet but left behind their pirated VCDs.

Another trader was caught with more than 500 VCDs in the same area.
