Wow! Have I stepped into a snakepit!
In response to your statement that: you're reading a great deal more into our poems than we actually said,
all I can say is Yes. I have stated that quite specifically. I have taken one phrase from each of your poems and expanded upon it as if it were literally, not poetically, intended.
That's all. Really, that's all. I said 'levity,' 'joshing,' stuff like that. You both used phrases that, if literally interpreted, would be somewhat extreme in the denial of other elements of your existences.
I am trying to say, I am sorry. I am sorry that I cannot communicate harmlessly with my fellow (wo)man.
By the way, I have deeply contemplated 'hostility.' And am most willing to accept 'envy.' I have no hostility towards both of your staunchly defended positions. I do believe I have envy - that I personally have no such thing that I can, or have to, defend.
