``We are thrilled to have kicked off the millennium on such a strong note,' commented JDA Chief Executive Officer Jim Armstrong.

Added Armstrong, ``Given the market's positive reaction to our new and complementary offerings such as our Internet-based B2C and B2B applications, we are ideally positioned to carry this momentum into future quarters.'

New B2B and B2C Products Generate New Client Activity

First quarter 2000 marks JDA's first deal for its next generation Internet-based B2B Store Portal technology. Paper Warehouse Inc., a Minneapolis-based specialty party supplies and paper goods retailer, will use JDA's Store Portal to provide store personnel with real-time access to the day-to-day functions within Merchandise Management System(TM) (MMS©), which it licensed in 1997.

JDA also signed five new deals for MMS.com(TM), the industry's first integrated commercial business-to-consumer e-commerce application.

These include agreements with existing clients Global Sports Interactive, the wholly owned subsidiary of Global Sports Inc. that provides comprehensive e-commerce services for such traditional brick and mortar sporting goods retailers as The Athlete's Foot, The Sports Authority, and Sports Chalet, and Laura Ashley Limited, the U.K. based clothing, accessories and home furnishings company.

``Last year we invested heavily in our products and client satisfaction. The result is the most complete, modern suite of retail business applications available today and endorsed by the largest reference base in the industry,' stated Hamish Brewer, JDA's senior vice president, global sales.

``It's always a pleasure to sell when you're offering the best. New business sales are at an all time high and our clients continue to support our best-of-breed enterprise strategy by licensing our new applications at a record pace. With a client base exceeding 4,100 following the acquisition of Intactix, our reputation for trusted, reliable delivery has never been more valuable.'
