Air pollution is a nationwide concern. In my travels to the northeast, folks there have an issue with coal smoke generated in the Midwest. Apparently, coal is cheaper than natural gas for firing the turbines. But, a blurb on MSNBC yesterday mentioned labor forces for working the mines are becoming short in supply.

Thanks for the clarification about the Grand Canyon. Forgot about that one.
