So apparently Justin Bieber has been supplanted by a new boy band called One Direction (ask Jr. about them). These guys were all solo acts on the last season of the X Factor who were merged into one band and signed by Simon Cowell. The first I ever heard of them was when I saw a write-up in our local paper about the lead singer tweeting a picture of himself and the aforementioned super-model. This, of course, drove every little girl in the world bonkers ("keep your hands off 'my' man"), who then forced said model to shut down her Twitter account because of all the insults. Meanwhile, this is all front page news on the teen gossip sites, which say said model's boyfriend in the Navy is not happy about this but they are working through it. Said boyfriend I come to find out I know really well since my son succeeded him as captain of the track team, and of course they were partners on our relay teams. Pretty funny set of coincidences. - Jeff
