Ken, the best way to play options is to write covered calls. You will hear stories of people making big bucks buying puts and calls but you don't hear about the big losses. I believe the statistic is that 90% of people lose money in options. Covered calls however are a nice way to play. I would suggest buying a book first especially Lawrence McMillian's book "Options as a strategic investment" before you make the plunge into options.
