I concur with your opinion. I recall back in april or may of 1997 when CSCO was trading at $40.00 52 week low, Forbes had a lengthy article on CSCO. They were so negative and critical about CSCO in saying how they acquire several small companies and they do not get along with each other and that CSCO does not develop products internally and they do through acquisitions which was finally catching up with them. After reading that article I decided not to invest in CSCO. I am learning from my mistake. Most people react to articles like KNEE-JERK. Smart ones take advantage of the reactions. My 2c on that article. Regards.
