I can see how FORE can be a good fit for Lucent who has a huge ATM problem. But I don't see how TLAB or CSCO would want this firm. Cisco bought Stratacom which has ATM functionality for the WAN and Lightwave for the premises. TLAB sells DACS and unless they see ATM as a natural extension of their product line, I don't see the fit. Fore's new products are aimed at the carrier market which is where Lucent has a hole. The tradtional telco providors are the ones I think may make a move on a firm such as Fore. Lets sit back and enjoy the ride. Mr Bill
