It's more than that, isn't it? I don't know the numbers, but the scale is mathematical, individual notes are mathematically derived from their frequency of vibrations, and harmonious notes are mathematically related.

A very smart man of humble nature told me about all this, but the thing I remember most was that he really cared more about the polkadot underpants he'd seen the weekend before he told me. I'm smart enough to understand that, but not smart enough to understand the mathematics of music. I just know that it exists. LOL!
