Mike, You might take a closer look at Pairgain. While they were in the past driven by first generation HDSL, going forward they have two dsl technologies that seem to hit sweet spots. One is Avidia, which combines several capabilities in one ADSL box. The other is HDSL2, which give HDSL capability (ie., T1) over a single twisted pair--very attractive to telcos trying to maximize return on installed copper.

Pairgain is, according to many analysts, coming up to a hockey stick rise in earnings. Although the sharp rise in share price might be several months away.
