Hi guys,

I have a strange problem with a friend's PC. Every day he gets about 1,000 email messages "returned". The problem is he never sent them in the first place. They are marked as "Undeliverable due to incorrect recipient" mostly. I have scanned the PC using NAV, SpyBot, and Trojan Hunter but no obvious culprits.

I cleaned out a few Klez viruses, but I don't think that is the problem. He is using Outlook Express v5 and his "Sent Items" box does not seem to show these messages.

Could these thousands of messages be sent from another mail server with his email address as the sender and "undeliverable" messages are bouncing back to him. If so, this is a scary thing as he uses his email for business and it is choked full each day with these "bounced back" messages.

Does anyone have any experiences like this?
