Looks like those options I picked up may end up being a good play after all, knock on wood. My goal is to buy a nice chunk of PEP for the long haul, but unfortunately I do not have the cash freed up. Perhaps my MO calls will end up making me some money as well, then I can really go long PEP. The tropicana deal is definitely a positive, and one of the major reasons I've become interested in PEP. If the spin-off of the bottling operations goes ahead, PEP mgmt should be completely focused on the beverage biz.
