The obesity isn't caused by deficient health care, but by overeating and insufficient exercise.

Maybe so but these children are developing asthma, diabetes I and II [adult diabetes] like no generation before them. That's where inadequate health care make a huge difference.

And it doesn't change the fact that life expectancy and other measures of health have improved.

Have improved.........some doctors believe that may be in the past tense.

And whether they continue to improve or not, we do lag other industrialized nations. Why?
