Our only hope is this—that as Americans we have been away from the European mindset long enough to know that you cannot run from our enemies, but we must face them. You cannot reason with them because they are irrational. You cannot talk with them because they will not hear. If Americans must fight this war alone, then so be it. I will have neither respect nor sympathy for those who will pay the price of trying to bargain with the devil.
I have questions.
What would happen if terrorists set off simultaneous explosions in the US and succeed in affecting an election in their favor like they did in Spain? What would the US look like should the left take control of the government, and follow the course set by Spain? Would the left follow in the footsteps of Spain, and if so, what would the ramifications for Americans be under those circumstances regarding the threat of terrorism?
Would terrorists step up their attacks...strike fast and often to further weaken our resolve? Will they attack Spain now that they have surrendered, just as they might the US should it surrender?
As president, would Kerry turn re-building of Iraq over to UN, France, Germany and Russian lawyers? Would he remove our troops from Iraq? Would he advocate an International police force? What uniform would an International police force wear? Can an International police force stop every terrorist attack? If so, how will they do that? If not, why not? Would there be enough police to ensure that every country is protected? Would every country enjoy the protection of an International police force created to fight terrorism?
Further, I would like to know what our world would be like today if we hadn't confronted terrorism the way we did post 9/11? Much of the world says this was a mistake. To listen to the left, anyone that confronts terrorism is to blame for a continuation of terrorist attacks. If terrorism is a law enforcement problem and someone created an International police force would terrorists cease their attacks? And what body is capable of creating an International police force? Does the left have any clear plan for confronting the threat of International terrorism? What would our world look like if we had not become proactive? And what has John Kerry personally done in the effort to fight terrorism?
I happened to listen to a midnight talk show Friday night. There was a man being interviewed who said he had a vision. He envisioned concentration camps and nuclear explosions, and he said it didn't matter what the world did. I suppose that possibility exists?
I just heard a top of the hour news break (ABC). John Kerry was scolding the president for not providing flac jackets to our troops....this from a man that voted "no" on funding the war. Does John Kerry have a plan to confront terrorism? Has anyone heard his plan?
Our presidential election in in the 11th month.
