You don't understand how anyone can define a narrow monopoly.

Apple in its own space is a monopoly. It invited clone makers in then killed them off a few years ago. It has invited software developers in to write for its platform as well and then jerked them around when it was not done the Apple way. It has gone after the BEE O/S. Apple has been more ruthless and controlling within its "monopoly" space to use your words than MSFT could ever dream of.

If MSFT can be accused of charging too much, then apple can be charged with Highway robbery. The problem is as it always has been. MSFT is working against a lot of companies that have a knack for shooting themselves in the foot and driving customers' MSFT's way.
