LOL...Bollinger just said on CNBS we're close to a Dow theory buy signal (oh? we just had a SELL signal if i remember correctly). he also maintained that the bears are very vocal about lower prices 'in spite of the improvement in the technical backdrop and the slowly building bull case'.

i think he just revealed a whole lot of wishful thinking...the only really vocal bears i know are a certain Lucretius(g), Fleck, and maybe that prubear dude, Lance Lewis and Tice...all other bears (including myself) are probably giving the market the benefit of the doubt here, after having seen it withstand all sorts of ill winds so many times. certainly a 70K contracts net long position by the specs in the spoos and a Rydex ratio of 0,11 don't speak of much bearish exuberance...rather the opposite. conviction that 'the lows are in' is EXTREMELY high.
