Remember bush wasn't "gonna get involved in any nation building", so it works both ways. If you have noticed my posting today, i am sort of trying to be as conflicted as kerry. Truth be known i am.
I think bush needs to do some symbolic things to win.
1. Fire one of the old white guys or at least let one retire. My preference is cheney. He can always to a redd fox and hold his heart. He is too connected with what is perceived to be slimey halliburton. And then pick Giuliani and make a bold move to the center. And for the christian right there is no nader to defect too.
2. Fess up on wmds--hell everyone thought they were there. We were sure saddam was a gathering threat but he apparently was a bit less than that. But having said that, we have the bastard in custody and there is some hope for a better future in iraq. Stay the course for a bit longer would be the message.
3. a grand reconciliation with france. Those two arrogant sons of bitches hugging would be a good first step. AFter all al qaeda is the common enemy. If we could joe stalins ass in WW2, we can drink french wine now.
4. Moderate talk on tax cuts. Go for a permanent tax cut at new rates but settle for middle ground on highest rate 37% and estate tax (higher exemptions and lower rates but no repeal).
