Hello, SUN worshipers! I added more SUN to my portfolio this morning, and it is now 8% of my holdings. Some of you may remember me from two years ago on the MSFT thread, when you would come over and harass old softie.

You must be happy these days, with SUN up 63.6%, and MSFT down 39.4%, for the year!

One of the reasons I upped my position was a review of these numbers from a post on another board.

Broadcom's TTM PSR = 87.3
Network Appliance's TTM PSR = 46.7
Siebel's TTM PSR = 33.4
EMC's TTM PSR = 27.8
Cisco's TTM PSR = 24.9
Oracle's TTM PSR = 24.1
Microsoft's TTM PSR = 17.1
Intel's TTM PSR = 15.5
Sun Microsystem's TTM PSR = 13.2

As expensive as SUN is, it's price to sales ratio is certainly way below many companies in its "King or Gorilla" category. That means, to me, that the stock price still has a lot of room for growth, even at present sales, if "Mr. Market" continues to love it.

BTW, The employees are certainly multi-talented. Christine Scheidt, Sun's service manager in Munich, is a friend of mine, and a top swing dancer. She and her partner placed 5th, in the World Lindy Hop competition, last year.
