What does it mean to be saved - saved from what? 2 Peter 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The subject and audience of this verse is the ELECT Alan God is long suffering to you-ward NOT ALL-WARD which is what you FORCE the verse to say. on and on with the misuse of the term ALL There is a huge difference between what the Bible means when the word "all" is used in many verses and what you and your UNIVERSALIST friends mean by "all" You are not in agreement with God. Matthew 2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. ALL - Alan? Even Jesus and the disciples were troubled? Come on Alan - face it you do not want the truth. Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Most will not be saved - end of story.
