Tango and Albert -- I attended InterOp in Las Vegas in April and saw Sourcecom's InRoute router demonstrated with Amati's Overture 8. It appears to me this more recent product is somewhat different. I'll quote from the brochure and let you figure out just how and, more importantly, why. "The demonstration shows the feasibility of adding direct LAN (ethernet) connectivity to the ADSL technology. . . . [and] is a combination of the latest router technology and the highest bandwidth ADSL/DMT technology available today. . . . Sourcecom is providing the LAN interface with their InRoute Broadband, the world's first asymmetrical broadband access router. The InRoute Broadband enables cost-effective broadband-speed Internet and on-line services for SOho and residential users. The InRoute Broadband supports access to corporate and private networks through Transparent LAN Services (TLS), which it implements via IP/IPX routing and Transparent Bridging. InRoute Broadband supports the Frame Relay and Point-to-Point Protocols (PPP)."

I'll leave it to you to explain how the two differ. Incidentally, Sourcecom is still private. I asked. :)

Thanks in advance for your help. Pat
