The first number is $120 billion, the interest that Social Security will earn on its trust fund in fiscal 2010 (see page 74 of the CBO report)

I wish people would stop referring to the SS "Trust Fund". There is no trust fund. The money doesn't exist. It's all been spent already in the Federal general fund.

The trust fund is nothing at all but a bookkeeping entry that shows how much the rest of the government has "borrowed" by spending SS receipts.

It's a complete farce.
