Lucius, glad you point that out. The sad part of the irony is
what you said is true. I read article saying that majority of
settlement are in favor of the plantif (?one being accused) and
the financial reward mostly went to lawyers. The plantif get a slap
on the hand and told: "bad boy, don't get caught red handed, or I
can't cover for you forever.

But that is part of life, we need lawyer to keep things out of hand.
Then the smart and rich and powerful knows the rule to use the system
to their advantage. Every single law with good intention always got
twisted to benefit someone.
