DVD burner question: How useful are they? Do folks use them mostly to pirate borrowed DVDs and/or to compile the digital video they shoot? Just trying to figure out if a good CD writer is all I really need.

Also, found a whammer deal on 17" high rez LCD flat screen at CompUsa ($299), already have good printer, so now just need the PC.
