Ken Kaplan's comment regarding Scientific Atlanta competition may have been prophetic.
It has been reported on the *Sunw-does anyone have info on the NC computer?* thread that SA has been awarded a Time Warner contract for up to $1 billion in set top boxes. (Post #13 onthat thread)
