I hear ya. Tax deductions simply become another form of entitlement.

Not only that, but the more money you make, the more you get taxed, and therefore the greater the impact of said tax deductions.

There's always someone richer than yourself whom you can tax. Funny how more and more people in the "upper middle class" are complaining about AMT, because these are the very people who are defined as "rich" in the eyes of liberals.

That's probably part of the obsession over Paris Hilton, come to think of it. As long as she's around flaunting her wealth, those of us who "merely" drive Beamers can think of ourselves as "not-so-rich." I should know, living in an area where my car is like the average here ...
