If this has already ben posted , missed it. the part I wonder is the 150 million contract the as yet unannounced T contract? cbs.marketwatch.com Ascend Communications Inc. closed higher on positive comments from several sources. SoundView Financial Group upgraded the networking equipment maker to "buy" from "hold" after International Data Corp. said 10 of the 12 top local exchange carriers have selected Ascend to provide access to Internet Service Providers. Michael Davies, analyst at Utendahl Capital Partners, said the company's new products, improving sales from its Cascade business and the new 56K modem standard have put the company in a more positive light recently. Davies said he sees upside for Ascend in the current quarter as a result of a new $150 million contract.ÿ Ascend shares closed up 3/8 at 33 7/8.
