I noticed that people are making two assumptions during these discussions here -- One, that the next bear-market will begin with a stock-market crash. Who knows? Maybe we could have a long, grinding, gut-wrenching decline. During the 73-74 bear, it was not clear even in October 73 that a bear-market was on. Only now, with the benefit of hindsight, can we say that it lasted 21 months from January 1973 to October 1974. And two, the assumption that Brinker is infallible. He need not be. History is replete with stories of "gurus" who were uncannily right for a while until... poof! Dipy.
