Brian, I am unable to fine any command in the New Testament, especially after God made an apostle out of Paul. #1 apostle of the Mystery of Grace. Paul took up collections for the poor at Jerusalem that was living as a community (pooling their resources) and made mention that he worked as a tentmaker to support himself. Paul did make mention that a Preacher of the Gospel should be worth his pay but their is no commandment under the new covenant or dispensation of grace that Paul received from the Lord to give money. I think God is pleased with those that give of their time for the ministry but no money is demanded unless you go into the Old Testament under the old covenant and attempt to fit this into the new.
Regards,
Santiago
(If you can find it under the Dispensation of Grace I'll believe it.)
