Kash, I have a view that sees the downside to be shortlived. Just in time scheduling turns off the order faucet as rapidly as possible. That means inventory pileup is smaller and when the restart comes it is soooner as there is no huge dead stock to use up before production ramps.
Apply this to the whole economy and the stops are faster...and so are the starts and the bad times are shorter.
