Now that i am 60, i have been informed by my insurance company that given our plan (NJ state retirement plan for my wfie) i have to file for medicare when 65 and my current ins. becomes my secondary. I am mortified that i have to do this. I cant afford not to but wish there was a way. All along i assumed my NJstate insurance would make medicare unnecessary. I see the lines of confused old people at my doctor--half of their confustion comes from medicare errors and confusion alonb with statements in error that freak them out. My Dr. surmises that the govt is trying to kill off the old folks by causing cardiac arrest each time someone picks up the mail. He told me two of his patience actually had coronarys right after picking up the mail The above said only half in jest.
