If I now sell UTEK shares at a loss and repurchase into my Sep-Ira; (1.) Can I use the loss to offset other gains for the year?<

My CPA doesn't have a problem at all with that maneuver and I feel it is legitimate but I will have to admit that the IRS laws are getting so complex you never know when your 100% correct, there is gray everywhere.
