Charles, It's been a few years since I have done business in Brazil as I'm now retired. But it is my oinion that on the surface they respect intellectual right but if there is a way to get around them and your're not on the scene protecting your rights they will try to get away with murder. I was with a major fortune 500 company in the Pharm biz and we felt it was in our best interest to copyright and patent anything that had a potential market value. This also protected you in other Latin America countries. Italy and Taiwan and Korea were also very big problems with violations of rights. I'd be careful of any technical information given.
