Smith just tabled legislation to reduce the number of signatures from about 600,000 to 180,000 for a citizens initative for a referendum on independence. The rural vote is already on side at 30% and another pre election "maybe" in urban Alberta in Redmonton and Calgary. A well funded independence organization with a charismatic leader should be able to satisfy the Clarity Act for 50% + 1. I look dorward to see how Laurentian Liberal elites manage without about $70 billion/year from Alberta. The end is in sight for 120 years of abuse that western Canada has suffered under Liberals and Quebec. Vive L' Alberta Libre. CANADA JUST WENT FROM ELBOWS UP TO TITS UP. Good luck with all the net zero no pipelines bs. By the way, to assist with the independence vote, Carney will invite the handful of ND's to join the Liberal Party, cementing his grip on a majority. Given Carney's praise for Karl Marx in his climate manifesto "Values", I am sure the ND's will happily join.
