Virus never happen to me....

For the last two months I've been fighting with a 'msgsrv32.eve' will not terminate problem. I did some research and found that it had some relationship with aol and power profiles. I followed various advices with no good result. I decided that probably I should leave well enough alone as the easy work around was to hit cntrl-alt-delete and manually terminate the task.

Today on a weird hunch I'd thought I poke around the system more and I can up with two entries in msconfig I didn't reconize, one was a iun_3405.exe=1 and the other was avp32.exe. Did some searches, didn't see any big red flags. Even so I decided to dust off AVG and do some virus checking. As you probably guessed I found that I had contracted the social disease called 'backdoor.litmus'. Don't know if that will solve my other problem but moral is virus checking is good...
