Antioch Manor Estates now underway

Antioch A. M. E. Church, the project sponsor, is pleased to announce that Antioch Manor Estates, Phase 1, is now under construction and will open for residents in August of 2005.

Located on South Hairston Road just north of Covington Highway, Antioch Manor Estates, Phase 1, will offer 120 affordable housing units for residents 55 and older in a safe, secure community environment about 10 miles east of downtown Atlanta. The $13 million residential setting will include a large community “core” that will facilitate delivery of a range of services and activities for seniors. Future Phases 2, 3 and 4 of Antioch Manor Estates will include 150 additional senior housing units (including villas and assisted living).

Antioch A M.E. Church is a vibrant, growing church serving its 2,200 members and the Stone Mountain and DeKalb County community. Antioch A.M.E. Church was founded in 1868 in Decatur.

Special thanks and recognition is given to Georgia Department of Community Affairs, SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners, Bank of America Community Development Banking Division, Citizens Trust Bank, DeKalb County Community & Human Development Department and Bank of America Not-for-Profit Group for supplying the superior financing to make Phase 1 a reality.
