Berney; RE:" Hare Today, Tortuga Tomorrow "
>Should we trail stop? Let me express it this way -- while I was 95% equities Friday, I'm at least 80% cash now!
Not altogether unwise, TraderBerney - all we did today was run up from a support to a resistance line in an over-sold market. Had I been as aggressive as you were during Babette's BlueChip Feast, I would have dumped the kapital-in at close today, too. Alas, I have but a few shares, as I chose to accumulate over time rather than accumulate by scalp-trading.
I didn't get any MWD/DLJ/MER, or WLA/SGP/PFE/BMY, because I did not have my levels set until after Tuesday's tank. Missed WMT, too; would have gotten it save for the sector just happening to be reporting great earnings while the world was falling. But I hooked CMB/STT and AIG/GRN, and can exit with a few shares profit in the kitty or, let the little positions ride.
How 'bout that SOX.X ? INTC/TXN and AMAT/NVLS be stormin' !
MSFT/SAP I just don't know - SAP I got 1x48.2/2x44.7, and may have to change that to start with 1x54 now; CSCO/LU I don't feel good about, for some reason. NOK.A/ERICY got close but never hit 68 and 21-1/2. AAPL is off to the races, and DELL I don't like to buy around earnings time ( missed it at ~98 one terrible Tuesday :-( EMC hit 48 and took off again. I wasn't paying attention to TAN/BBY. I though TWX would go to ~83 and AOL to ~90. UIS bounced real good, but the one-day drop scared me off; IT would have liked that one.
