Speedy ...still asking questions one at a time to try to piece together later...

<<< "but this is incomplete for me....
lower high in the indicator...as of when...what dates are included... ???? and
why"

AND what if there is no higher high in the index....
>>>
Then you could say the trend has ended....and we're back into a trading range????
Thats kinda why i'm posting here...to figure this damn thing out!!!

your thinking is that the srv doesnt work in a trending market....

SO if you are saying the trend has ended because we arent doing higher highs...then you can apply the srv concept???????

but conversely you are saying that higher highs and divergence in srv are the "meat" of the indicator.....

see the inherent conflict????

and remember this is an ancillary indicator to back up some other kind of primary trading tool...also it may not work simply on its own...you might need another anicillary indicator to work in conjunction with it...AND the primary trading tool

just throwing out ideas to test the concept.....

btw, are we talking about the "raw" or "smoothed" srv...

let me know if you dont understand this..all these lates nights keep me groggy...not to mention my eyesite is wacked out because of my monitor so I cant see what I am typing
