I've had no problem with 2.1/TF+, Alain.
Agree "we are lacking updated information on www.rtrsoftware.com" but "TF+ disappeared from TASC" is probably temporary.
Re testing strategies, I haven't seen your "When I run it on small lists it seems to run quite well, when it gets bigger, tfpwin fails".
Bill Coward advised [on onelist] to use a large sample, so I usually run qp scans to generate 400-1000 input symbols.
I don't usually run scans or tests on qp-nse, qp-stocks, etc., but your trendline Gann, for example, runs fine on qp-stocks.

I see your problem with specifying a date range ending in the past [had only defined charts via # days/from mm/dd/yy to present]; Bill Coward should know the trick, but asking Clay is the easiest route.
