We had them on an open battlefield, refused to defeat them, and let them retreat to the cities.< I found it curious that war, particularly in Afghanistan, resembled our professional sports leagues, complete with free agents, player trades, signing bonuses and such. Someone blows a whistle, the first half ends, everyone gets released and rearmed in time for the second half kick-off. ARS
