My Personal Confession of my Actual Capitulation; This thread keeps demanding capitulation so I thought I'd tell you about mine. About the end of August I was one frustrated long, I'd held a s*** load of stock since (gulp) March 2000, as a result I was very much underwater. The pain was unbearable and the sentiment on all the boards was even more unbearable for the constant grind down was getting to me, so I sold most of my stock in the weeks between August 20th and Sept 8th. In doing so I allowed myself the opportunity to unwind positions I felt that I could replace, as my research had shown me many new directions and opportunities which I would eventually avail myself. I had been constructing a new long term Portfolio called the SIP portfolio( Supply Imbalance Portfolio) and tagged as those stocks I would buy again when the opportunity came. I had no idea that the opportunity would come so quick, but it came and between the Sept 11th debacle and Oct 11th I bought the following stocks up to the limits I'd set on an allocation basis. TRW, IDCO, CATT, LNOP, ENER, MWAV, KVHI, TDY, and CMTL.

Now as I look at this portfolio I understand how right my capitulation was. My question is if I capitulate again, say iTomorrow, is that capitulation by the bears definition or Profit Taking?

Tell me Inquiring minds want to know?
