ZP, Spots, thanks for the input. Something I am considering is a quick study into what some of the latest gw2k/dell offerings are in terms of motherboard powersupply etcetera, and what it would cost me to assemble an identical system. While the roll-your-own approach has great appeal to me, I am beginning to think that the economies of scale available to a gw2k or dell may be too good to ignore. I can always disassemble it and rebuild it after it arrives! ;-)

I currently use 2 boxes, 1 for TradeStation and 1 for internet access, spreadsheets, etc. My TS box is a little out of gas (plato motherboard). Step 1 is replace the TS box with something faster w/more memory. Step 2 is upgrade the old box. I may wait for Win98 general availability for the multi-video card capability. Eventually, I'll have all 3 in production, but could suffer with just 2 in order to enable maint/upgrades. Seems like having at least one window to the internet during the upgrade of another machine is a prudent approach. Cheers!
